DescriptionI love strips like this, when Dick would put a lot of characters into a Gasoline Alley daily. That first panel is packed with eight figures, all the main characters from the Wallet family, and yet Dick manages to keep everything clear through use of contrast, texture and pattern. And I love the way he anchored the composition with the night table and lamp in silhouette. The second panel is one of those classic Moores' birds-eye views, which he made look so easy.
