DescriptionAxa was created and illustrated by Enrique (Enric) Badía Romero and scripted by Donne Avenell. The series began in the British newspaper The Sun on July 3, 1978, and ended abruptly on November 6, 1985, in comic strip 2238 within the 19th saga entitled The Betrayed. The storyline remained unfinished until the artist self edited the conclusion in 2012. Enric died in 2014.The series was designed as a daily three-panel adventure strip, with two-panel strips being the hardest to find, especially if Axa appears in all her glory. This three-panel daily strip belongs to the 6th saga entitled “The Gambler”, which was published between comic strips 600-719. The daily strip is number 633. I bought this page because I think it's very representative, with Axa in all the panels, with his friend Jason, with the sword, and with Mark Ten, the robot. Amazing work by Romero. The tilted pose of Axa in the first panel is perfect. Congrats, Mario.

So great! Even this sexy sword and sorcery fantasy work had to have some of that robot influence during the 80's.
