Art is art. Shouldn't matter if it's capes and spandex, or tea and persimmons. Personally, I'm a big persimmon fan (considering we have a huge tree out back). They're delicious. As is this wonderful still life.
The china cup is beautifully done (as is the rest).
Bill promotes IAX at OAX next to CAX, A2X, IC3, etc. Not as big of a stretch with Persimmons as it is adjacent to Killer Tomatoes From Outer Space comic art.
Natural and lovely oils, with so much comic art to see here daily, the non comic art ends up standing out by comparison and I'm always excited to see it personally.
Really beautiful still life. I love the textures in the brush strokes, especially. So good!
Agreed that a Keys' still life has no equal!
