Great page from a great run!
You have excellent taste sir!
Very high praise coming from a collector such as yourself!
Such A very nice page. The cosmic panel is stellar!!
Jesus H. Christ! You are indeed a blasphemer!
I expect to be labeled a heretic by the Church of Starlin at any moment now.
Stick to your guns. I'll be down to help to repel the onslaught as soon as the cookies come out of the oven.
It's late in the evening; she's wondering what clothes to wear
She puts on her make-up and brushes her long gown there
Empress she asks me, "Do I look all right?"
And I say, "Yes, you look Shalla Bal tonight."
We go to a party and everyone Surfs like me
This Rubinstein lady that's ruling around the green
And then she asks me, "Do you feel all right?"
And I say, "Yes, I feel Shalla Bal tonight."
It's Steve Englehart because I see
The love light Roger's lines
And the wonder of Marshall
Is that you just don't realize how much I love you
This can mean only one thing - Eric Clapton is planning to steel Shalla Bal from the Silver Surfer.
I never reread that series but Rogers's take on the Surfer was fresh and Lim was more tightly inked early on in his run, so you may be right, artistically speaking. Very nice character page.
Some great storytelling happening here!
Really love that space-based fifth panel. Congrats!
Congrats on the nostalgic and important Silver Surfer find for your fandom of the title/character! I really dig the 5th cosmic panel and that shot of Shalla. This is a series I'd like to give another proper try reading at some point as well.
Wonderful page! Loved this series. Congrats!
Very nice!
Haven't read this run, but this page intrigues me!
I don't know if it's the result of looking back at this series with nostalgia-tinted glasses, but I thought it was a great run worth checking out. Lots of cosmic beings with the Elders of the Universe playing a prominent role during the first half of it, and the Kree and the Skrulls (with the Super Skrull in particular) playing a big role in the second half.
Can't beat pages that take you back! Congrats from a great get, and from issue 2!
