Published 1990.
written by Keith Giffen and Tom and Mary Bierbaum and Al Gordon.

The return of Mon-El

The Time Trapper explains to Mon-El that if he is killed, then everything that Mon-El knows and loves will also vanish, that reality itself will change and the Legion would never have been formed.
Mon-El responds that it doesn't matter as the Trapper is the greatest threat and all this must end as he delivers the final blows to the Trapper killing him and the Universe blinks out of existence in this final glorious end page!

Picked up at OAX!

Also of note - this page changed hands from inker to collector to collector to collector at no cost as it is truly priceless!

I am a Legion, can't read my Time

I'm undefined
I'll just need Giffen, the pen's on Lar Gand
Ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the Super Hero
Let Gordon illustrate the worlds that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can OAX it
Release your exhibitions

Feel the pain on your win
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can get Legion
No one else, no one else
Can Keith artwork on your nibs
Drench yourself ink words unspoken
Lived your life with arms wide open
This page is where your book begins

The best is still by Giffen

Truly, the greatest page of original comic book art ever created. I know it's always silly and meaningless when people say "I'd give my entire collection for this one single piece!", but I would. If only the value of it could could get to within more than just a tiny fraction of the value of this piece.....

John Cage's 4'33"

Robert Rauschenberg's White Paintings

Salvatore Gurau's "Io Sono"

And now Keith Giffen's Legion #4 Page 26 stands among them.

Love the Legion... but didn't love that run. HOWEVER, that page is one of the most significant and moving pieces of art and storytelling ever produced. Glad it found a good home.

WOW!!  its like a visual representation of John Cage's 4'33!

Melvins had a 7" called "Shit Sandwich" that could also work (b-side was "and you just ate it").

i love Giffen's work.  his sense of style and humor always tickled my fancy.

i only own one page with the credits on it but i feel it adds something special when i see it on OA.

congrats!

Best Invisible Woman splash I've ever not seen. Wait a minute...that's just the drugs talking.

Art outside our space time continuum? Art blinked out of existence? Faded markers? Page of whiteout? Giffen fell asleep exhausted drawing the story and facing the deadline added blank pages for the end? Just kidding.

There's no doubting that this is a very fun - and unique - page to have in a collection.

Excellent pickup from one of my absolute favorite LSH stories. K and T&M were faced with an awful decision with Superboy and came up with a very clever response.

This is original art that only becomes visible when viewing in the Phantom Zone.
