Description
A cool nostalgic Thor 70s cover of Thor versus the Servitor (a giant, bulky robot with an attitude which was created by Zarrko the Tomorrow Man). By John Buscema with inks by Joe Sinnott. This was part of a 4-part time travelling story that also had the Warriors Three and Jane Foster (whose body at this time Sif also inhabited)

While I do primarily focus on Iron Man and Avengers, I appreciate a bunch of other characters/titles that I read during the 70s to the 90s. And sometimes I even collect the art. Based on the visuals and a lot of nostalgia (factoring in that a comic book page (from this issue) was reproduced in the Mead products which were pretty much everywhere for a few years in the 70s - a beloved line of notebooks, folders, three ring binders, and book covers), I always liked the odd looking and full-of-himself Servitor and his fights/interactions with Thor (and the Warriors Three).

I don’t usually post but this one, along with the accompanying Thor #243 splash, are special to me.

The big epic battles become expected from the Thor title month after month, but The Buscema and Sinnott Marvel magic brings a quality that can't be duplicated in this time period combining action and drama that still resonate today.

Always liked the visual of Servitor.  I think World War Hulk may have "borrowed" a bit from his look.

Everyone look on and tremble, the leading Iron Man collector is now buying other characters.

Daren stay in your lane, there is nothing of interest to you with any other characters, especially Thor !!

Great to see it! Epic cover, beautifully drawn and inked. The Servitor was a great big lump of an opponent, leading to some titanic battles - like this one!
