Chris Achilleos - "Death Struggle" (FPG, 1992)

A very early and large format illustration of a dramatic warrior battling a crocodile from fantasy art legend, Chris Achilleos. This piece has been published various times including his Medusa art book in 1988 and the back of card #6 of his first card set by FPG in 1992. This illustration was a detailed final prelim used for his painting that served as the cover art for Fearless Master of the Jungle, but J.T. Edson and published by Corgi in 1978. Finished in graphite on illustration paper and signed by the artist in the lower right. Measures approximately 15"x22" and framed and matted to 21"x28" and in excellent condition.
