Description
Sometimes in life, you get a second chance! I foolishly sold this page and, thankfully, was able to buy it back again! In the early 1980's DC Comics decided to enter the graphic novel field and the first of those graphic novels was Star Raiders, published in 1983.

With a story written by Elliot S. Maggin and stunning painted art by Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez, the book is a feast for the eyes. And with good reason. Jose told me that he would spend about 18 hours drawing and painting each page. This is page 45 from the novel and features 2 of the main characters, Ezekiel Cranston and "Tommy" Tomorrow Hardtack. Even now, 43 years later, the colors are lush and vivid.

Second chances are rare, especially in a collectible space like comic art where everything is a 1 of 1! congrats on getting this one back in the collection, it is exquisitely painted by JLGL!

Well, you know what they say about setting the art free if you love it. If it comes back, then it was meant to be!

I can relate to letting pieces go and getting them back years later. Congrats on this beautiful page where Jose shines on all cylinders!

Love this 80's color stuff from Garcia Lopez!  That orange and powder blue reminds me of the Atari Force pieces he did!
