Frankenstein Agent of S.H.A.D.E. 15, pg18

I'm gonna start this by saying I NEVER would have thought I would be interested in the art from Frankenstein Agent of S.H.A.D.E... boy was I wrong. By a mile. I happened to reach out to inker Wayne Faucher asking about some of his art, and asked what work of his own he really enjoyed working on and was pleased with. I was surprised when he said it was Frankenstein Agent of S.H.A.D.E. because I remember not liking it when if first came out. So I went back and re-looked at the full run and then I remembered. I know many of you love Jeff Lemire's work but it has never connected with me (strike one). It wasn't a hero/character I've ever had much interest in from the movies or prose or comics (strike two). And the art wasn't my cup of tea, as it was all done by Alberto Ponticell (pencils and inks). It was to cluttered for me (strike three). But pushing past those early issues, I got to the point where Wayne began inking and the pages suddenly jumped out. I loved them. I then started to like the pencil/design by Alberto because with Wayne's inks, there was a stronger clear page to help drive the story. I still didn't find the story all that compelling (sorry Lemire and Frankie fans) but the art really was awesome. And that was what I was collecting. SO here I am posting one of three pieces I purchased from Wayne. AND LOVING THEM SO MUCH! Each displaying a great technique of visual story telling. My thanks to Wayne for working with me to get these three great pages!
