I really thought I was done with Hembeck sketch cards (part 4).

Another fun villain card by Fred. But unlike the previous Hate Monger character that I saw as more of a goofy and silly sort of fun, this Hangman piece is actually pretty cool. I really dig the costume here. And while blue is probably one of my least colors, Hangman is rocking it pretty well here. I’m really liking those boots, those gloves, the rope (both in his hand and around his neck), and that tattered cape. Also love the facial expression (yes, I know he’s wearing a hood, but you know what I mean). Apparently there are several versions of this character, sometimes even within the same company. This looks to be the Impact/DC comics version from 1991 (see Additional Images). Not to be confused with the current DC version who is female (or the old Archie Comics version, or the Marvel character of the same name). Anyway, very pleased to add it to the collection. Okay, that's it. You are making all my playlists from now on. What a perfect selection. Unlike you, I dig the color blue! I also really like the facial expression; the grimmace on the hood cracks me up! Very fun piece!

You're probably the only one who would get this (well, maybe you and Marcus) but based on those colors, he looks like a Sharks fan. LOL

The Sharks have a bright future with their young bucks killing it. Maybe the Hangman is a Sharks fan and he will be smiling this time next year if they make the playoffs.

It was such a wild character. Perhaps only Fred can really do him justice. Nice sketch.
