Vintage Sci-Fi Photograph Otherworldliness, 1971

Out of body experience. In 1971, pioneering Sci Fi Photographer Mitchell Funk captures detachment from the worldly, entering the surreal, the ethereal, or a ghostly otherworldliness.  In this pre-digital era, Funk uses a highly inventive, proprietary in-camera multiple-exposure technique to create a mirroring counter-image of the reclining female subject in this stunning, colorful double portrait.    It still looks fresh 55 years after it was created.
