Ron Frenz and Sal Buscema, High School Fight (from The Blue Baron)

This tongue in cheek digital comic plays a super-serious 300-year-old hero off of a bullied gamer high school student. They switch bodies, and chaos ensues.

Frenz and his mentor and regular drawing partner, the late, great Sal Buscema, are in top storytelling form here. They start with the closeups in panel one. Each individual has personality, and their common gaze draws you further into the page to see what they're looking at. Cue panel 2, one of the two heroes of the story, obviously in a fight but far from beaten. Panels 3 and 4 showcase great figure work and some pretty kinetic battle choreography, leading to a payoff in panel 5 with a pretty final-looking defeat for the hero's former bully. 

Not that Marvel had a monopoly on succinctly laid out fight scenes, but I do think of this as a classic Marvel-style page from two of the company's former veterans, doing their own passion project here.
