Trail Blazers Comics Original Art unpublished and unfinished Golden Age cover by Vern Greene (from 1941). Trail Blazers Comics was published by Street and Smith for four issues, from 1941 to 1942. Vern Greene did the cover art. This piece has no number or date, and the series was canceled and rebranded as Red Dragon Comics.
The art is fully laid out in pencils of a revolutionary war era battle as two horse mounted soldiers fight. The trade dress is drawn and inked by hand.
The art is unfinished and unsigned. Image area is 11" x 17". Page size is a twice up at 14 1/4" x 19 1/2". The art is on bristol that has yellowed slightly with age. There are two very small pinholes in the top two corners that are barely visible and do not interfere with the art in any way.
