Along with your Capt. Marvel 29 cover, you have the two of the most iconic images Starlin has ever drawn. For me, the grand mix of Marvel cosmic and Shakespearean tragedy in Warlock, and specifically The Magus saga, remains Starlin's most compelling work.

One of my favorite covers by two of my favorite artists of all time. The first time I saw Alan Weiss was an Amazing Spiderman with Kraven the Hunter. He immediately moved onto my list of favs.

Warlock, the Magus, Thanos and the Soul Gem, some of the greatest comic storytelling of all time. I still have those three issues. They are treasures. Starlin is a master.

Quite a bookend to your Cap cover.  Looks great and so much greater in person.

For me, one of the top five covers of all time. Not by Starlin, by anyone.

Just love it.

Congrats.

Warlock #9 and CM #29.  A pair of truly iconic covers, with iconic characters, in iconic poses, by a legendary artist.  I would never split these up.  Ever!

This is one of the very first Jobs I assisted Steve (Leialoha) with.  I remember laying on his Mom's Living Room floor and filling-in areas with a Laundrey Marker and getting so sick I almost puked on a page...  Then we figured-out that you couldn't do Stars on the Magic Marker.  Kind of a nightmare.

Do you have a better scan of this?

As much as I love the powerful image from the cover of CM #29, I really like what Weiss' inks do for Starlin's pencils more than Milgrom.  This is my favorite.
