Letter to my Mother

I picked this up a year or two ago at Barron's Black Iraq gallery show in San Jose. I bought two pieces, gave one away to a friend who really wanted one but couldn't afford it, and kept this one. The shot doesn't do it justice. Too large to be scanned, mixed media, with pen, pencil, and collage. It's really nice in person. I should have bought a dozen of the paintings on display that night. Every day, they become more poignant and relevant with all that is going on in this crazy world.
