Gosta Thilen, Herra Kerhonen 1933

An early Finnish comic strip written by "Veli Giovanni" (H.J.Viherjuuri) and drawn originally by Gosta Thilen (1893-1934), followed after his death by Poika Vesanto and Olavi Vikainen. The title "Herra Kerhonen" is a pun on "Gentlemen's Club" - presumably of the sort where deals are made between power brokers in a smoke-filled room. A restaurant named after the strip still operates in Helsinki. This episode was published in the issue 9 / 1933 of the magazine Suomen Kuvalehti.
