I love this page,it's the true end of the 'yarn', the last moment the narrative itself carries us. Everything after is only postscript, the settling of dust and the quieting of echoes. And the final image of Xaltotun’s spectral horses arriving to bear him back down the 'Road to Acheron'… it feels torn straight from Howard’s own thunderous cadence. A perfect closing beat!
