Description

This is page 18, the third to last page on the uncompleted story, "Jasper Stone, Star Spanner" by Wayne Boring. All evidence points to this being the story he was working on at the time of his death. It looks to be a one-man project with Boring penciling, inking and writing the story as he went along. This features a number of his trademark peculiarities, a futuristic city with forced perspective topped by Kremlin-style onion tops, those flying poses, etc. Jasper is totally Clark Kent with big hair. This has all its original pencil lines, and other indicia of a work in progress. The two faces on the right side are pictures drawn on the reverse.

Note at the top, "Plunkett", barely discernible in the scan but very clear in the inset. George Hagenauer says that that was on the page when he got it and was not, as I originally supposed, added when I bought it from him. That's downright spooky.
