Working on the principle that Batman adopted all his Robin's; Dick, Jason and Tim in very rapid sequence, and even more recently the toddler Terry McGinnis from Batman Beyond, she has created a coherent, respectful, almost illegally cute and utterly hilarious series of 'slices of life'. Notably the boys erratically functional relationships with their Dad (More down to him than them), and Batman's neverending rivlalry with Green Arrow and HIS family).
She "gets" each character beautifully (Eleven year old Dick, the responsible big brother who is discovering that he's getting odd feelings when he's around Wonder Woman, Black Canary, Hawkgirl, and that red headed girl who goes to High School. Smart mouth nine year old Jason, who is essentially Bart Simpson in a cape, and five year old Tim who has his own sweet, if eccentric worldview), and... well go see for yourself. Start with
this and then just dip into the rest! Like they say, I'll bet you can't read just ONE! :)
So who better to do a Christmas commission, and exemplify the notion of family that it brings.
