Description

I managed to previously pick up a piece by Darwyn via ebay, but always wanted an original commission. I tried for ECCC 2009, but he had to cancel. Fortunately I caught him at the Calgary Expo 2009. I didn't know how his list works, turns out he only took 4 sketches for each day. On my way to his booth, I saw he wasn't there and the line wasn't long, so I stopped to arrange a piece with Yannick Paquette. Boy am I glad it didn't take long. I got to Darwyn's line and got the number 4 slot on day 1. I really wanted to do a Golden Age Green Lantern, but then as I came to my decision, it seemed so clear that Rocketeer was a much better choice. Boy was I right. Enjoy!

What a fantastic piece of art! I think you picked right. What made you go with The Rocketeer? I love it when artists do characters that they have never drawn.
