Description

I had first seen Jeremy's work on a fellow CAF member's site mere weeks before the Expo, and had filed away in my mind that I would eventually make contact, asking him to offer his interpretation of Jade. The opportunity arose a bit earlier than expected.

I love what Jeremy achieved here. He's given the character a strong, heroic pose, though tempered with a very wistful expression. And the use of the smaller inset portrait compliments the larger figure very nicely. Looking at the finished work, I see something that harkens stylistically to Mike Wieringo's work. Jeremy confirmed this, and also cites Will Eisner and Wally Wood as his influences. Excellent company he's keeping.
