Description
Pekko was Finnish comic strip combining influences from Asterix, Hagar the Horrible and B.C. set in a similarily fictionalized world of Finnish prehistory and the Kalevala epic. It first appeared in 1971, but tragically the cartoonist Veli-Pekka Alare (1946-1981) died of cancer when he was just 35.
