Supergirl by José Luis García-López

José has worked on many comics that I’ve enjoyed throughout my life, including the Teen Titans, Legion, and Atari Force. I was beside myself with glee when I first saw his name on the FallCon guest list. He would be my first target on Saturday morning at the con.

Then something unexpected happened. Five days before the con, my daughter Amethyst was born. It was difficult tearing myself away from her, and decided to just attend the con on Sunday. I tried to have a friend see if he could get my name on José's sketch list. Unfortunately, when I got there on Sunday, I was not on the list, and José said he was booked. He said I could check back later to see if he could fit me in.

Towards the end of the day, he told me he would not be able to get to me. I got down on my knees for a quick sketch, and he finally agreed.
