Catspaw by Josh Blaylock

This sketch was one of a few that I had done to try and get some different Legionnaires into the mix, some that hadn’t been done before in my sketchbook. I would be surprised if anyone would ever choose Catspaw as their favorite Legionnaire, so decided to have Josh sketch her for me at the 2006 MCBA FallCon. Not only is he the founder of Devil’s Due comics, he also does quite a bit of writing and art for the line as well.

There are so many Legionnaires that aren’t represented in my sketchbook at all. Polar Boy, Tyroc, Chemical King, Quislet, Kid Quantum, and Tellus come to mind as mid-size characters. If not for Matt Feazell’s sketch of the whole Legion, such big names as Sun Boy, Element Lad, and Invisible Kid would also be on that list.
