Description

This piece has been framed and on my walls since the day I was lucky enough to buy it from Mitch at Graphic Collectibles --- many, many moons ago. It is simply a perfect example as far as I am concerned since I was looking for a painted original that could stand out on my walls (competition is hard with african masks, photographs and movie posters ;-) and this specific piece combines the genius of Moebius' universe with the lightness and stylish brush of Gibbons, the artist on my most favorite series of all times... Watchmen, indeed.

Arzach, Moebius, Gibbons, painting... what could you ask more for???

The techniques used are also an interesting combination of acrylic painting for the characters, pastels and pencils for the background. I tried to remove it a couple of times from my wall but either I felt like missing something in the house or my wife was pestering me until I put it back -- she seems to really like this one ;-)
