I sent Terry Beatty an email on October 1st 2002:
"By any chance do still have the cover art to Ms Tree #48 "Unmasked"? I remember seeing you having it for sale at a Chicago ComiCon years ago, and always wished I'd snapped it up then -- but money was tight... etc., etc."
Terry replied in part a few days later:
"As for the Ms. Tree covers -- most of that art is too well packed away for me to get at it right now. And for the life of me, I don't remember which ones I've kept...! I haven't brought any Ms. Tree pages or covers to shows for some time now -- it's been so long since the series was last published that few people show any interest anymore...."
When Terry unearthed this cover, I was happy to snap it up eight years after that initial request, in January 2010. I believe it to be one of the finest covers in the entire series -- which is a series I think everyone should read -- if they like good stories and good storytelling.
