Karate Kid vs. Atomic Robo by Scott Wegener and Simon Gough

Around Christmas 2009 I decided to finally check out some series that I had been meaning to check out for quite some time, and the first one of those was Atomic Robo. I read the first trade paperback one morning and became a fan for life. That afternoon I ordered the next two trades and soon after added Scott and Robo to my �Karate Kid vs.� commissions list. Big thanks to Bob Shaw at Comic Art House for setting up this piece for me! I love the whole drawing, but for some reason my favorite thing about this piece is how Scott drew Karate Kid�s hair, especially those sideburns. Weird, huh? Years later I passed this over to Simon Gough to add some color to it, and of course he did an awesome job! I really dig the orange background and the added shadows.

Val Armorr has that uncanny ability to find the weakest spot to strike something, so I do believe he would find the right spots to hit and kick Robo to do him some serious damage. BUT Val is going to have to dodge all of Robo�s blows or he will be knocked out with one punch. And Val better hope Robo isn�t packing guns, or he will have to beat a hasty retreat.
