Description
My office walls have been freshly patched and painted. My two Herriman originals, along with one of my Herriman portrait photos, now reside over my desk where I can look at them all the time. In the not-too-distant future, I have to have the 1917 Sunday page re-framed. In my early days of framing comic art, I used a gunmetal color metal frame. Then I moved onto a nice contemporary maple frame, before finally settling upon a wonderful thin black wood frame, with a gold design/pattern along the front. I like how the bit of visible black picks up the line work in the art, but the gold is just subtle and beautiful, and really classes up the joint!

Awesome view, Rob! Beautiful art and a great portrait photo (looks old-school Hollywood).

Fantastic, Rob! I didn't know the photo was this huge! Great framing job, too. It's a shame we can't all display our artwork this way.

I love that you are thinking about adding to the art or complementing the art. Not just owning the art.

I especially like how Herriman is either admiring the 1917 or feeling moral about the 1944. Nice wall colors, too.
