DescriptionA dream come true - for me at least. A wonderful page from the very first issue in the series. Although Steve Ditko and Sol Brodsky are also credited with assisting with the inks (mainly with regard to the backgrounds) for this inaugural issue, I will go with the official credits (which have Bill Everett as both penciller and inker).Social/Sharing |

You're a lucky man. This is truly a piece of history. I had to settle on a commission recreating this scene. :) Thanks so much for sharing the piece, and with such a great high quality scan!

The art for DD #1 is in a class alone. Any page from this issue would count as a major accomplishment for an OA collector but this one in particular really stands out. It's as if the ink was scorched into the board. A timeless and monumental art achievement. Bravo Bill Everett and congratulations to the owner of this masterpiece.

So awesome Comic Art Boston! This is an issue that would be a grail page for me. Glad it's with someone who appreciates it soooo much. One day I hope to have a page.

I love DD's cheekiness in panel five..."Going somewhere boys?!". I'm sure the boys wished they had stayed in bed that morning!
Beautiful Bill Everett art...a brilliant page!!!

My favorite character when I was a young pup. Greatly appreciate seeing this now as an old dog. Another stellar piece. Congrats
