Matt drew this for my brother Jim at the Baltimore Comic Con 2010. My first reading of the violet sky in the background was that it was sunset. However, when we showed it to JG Jones, (actually he DEMANDED to look at it) he insisted that he had seen that very same color of sky in the dead of night when he used to work at a refinery. Thanks, Matt, you really exceeded expectations on this spectacular piece!

In a word, WOW!! In more then one word, I LOVE it! Wagner's style fits the classic era Sandman and Batman to a T. Congrats on one of the nicest commissions I've seen him do recently.
