Description

Original cover art for The New Teen Titans #12, published by DC Comics in October of 1981. This classic cover features one of the greatest and most perfect images that legendary artist George Perez has ever created, which is truly saying something, as Perez is responsible for some of the greatest covers ever done in the history of comics. The cover is a truly stunning and spectacular piece, which is chock-full of characters, and is a perfect example of Perez's amazing ability to put more detail in his art than basically every other artist out there. The cover features a classic image of the comics' Titans squaring off with the Greek Titans of Mythology, and right in the center is Donna Troy (Wonder Girl) taking on Starfire! Wow! This is probably one of the most perfect defining examples of a Titans cover that any fan could want, with great character depictions and a classic battle image. And also of major consideration is that this cover is ALL Perez (pencils and inks). It may be hard to find with all the detail going on, but Perez signed and dated the piece near the middle right-side edge (just below the pillar) "George Perez 81". An amazing piece, and one of the single best covers of Perez's legendary run.

Classic George Perez, especially Titans stuff is super rare and should be treasured. I think I got hooked on Titans with this SL. I got interested in Titans with issue ten and then couldn't get enough of them.
