Amazing Spiderman 147 cover

I was commissioned to restore this classic Spidey cover.
The art was done on an unmounted sheet of vellum, with no logo or text, and the client wanted something that had the authentic look and feel of a Marvel cover from that time period. First, I created an appropriate Marvel cover art board (the "World Color" design). Next, I carefully adhered the vellum/art to the board, using archival adhesive and taking care that the vellum was flat and smooth. Using the published comic as source material, I created the logo, balloons, etc on stat-like, color matched paper and pasted them down archivally as well. As you can see, the restored version is now fully dispaly-able, and would be a great piece for anyone's collection! (BTW, I've listed Romita as penciller/inker because he signed the drawing, but I'd swear I see Gil Kane's work in there too. Maybe a Kane layout and Romita's finishes?)
