DescriptionI read the cover off this book when I was a kid. The 2nd panel is a stat covering the original which is just like it, but for a word balloon obscuring most of Luke's majestic afro. On the stat it is restored to glory. Love Byrne's Spidey.Social/Sharing |

Dang. I think this was the first time I got to Ink and Entire Issue. Before this I Inked Two backups in Captain America and I co-Inked Spider-Woman #7 with Steve Leialoha. I'm not crazy about most of this job... But I sure like this page!

I think John Romita and Marie did a few "corrections" on this book. Doesn't seem to be any on this page. Is the actual art underneath the paste-up over panel two? On pages like this I sometimes peal off the stat very carefully to expose the Original Art and then re-paste the stat on the back of the page. Thanx again Phillip!

Thanx again Phillip! The stat can't be pulled without ripping up the art beneath. I gave it a go, but too much damage was being done. I will leave it to the Al Gordon scholars of tomorrow.

Dude... what have you been smoking? "Der aint be no such ani-mule." A tiny bit of Rubber Cement thinner might help. You can use the Rubber Cement brush/applicator to push it lightly under the stat while you pull it. But be very careful and pull r e a l l y slowly. Or you can bring it to me at Wondercon and we can go over to my Studio and give it a shot.
