Fred Lasswell Snuffy Smith original sketch

One of my favorite pieces in my collection by Fred Lasswell. After the original artist, Billy Debeck, passed away in '42, Debeck's lifelong assistant, Lasswell took over the art chores and would remain on the classic strip up until his death in 2001. Based in the mountains of North Carolina, the strip ran over 8 decades! He was just a hoot to be around, I cherish our little chat we had while he did me this little sketch. Bless you Fred, R.I.P.
