Description

As a kid I loved the Legion of Super-Pets,and the Space Canine Patrol Agency ( a dog version of the Legion) who opened their meetings with the following oath and battle cry.
Big dog, big dog, bow, wow, wow!
We'll stop evil, now, now, now!
These stories are all fun gems of the Silver Age. I wanted to capture that fun feeling and with the help of a Rex the Wonder Dog cover: I believe we have. Presenting for your pleasure: Krypto the Superdog and Comet the Superhorse the Four Footed ( or pawed and hooved , if you prefer ) Defenders of the Galaxy, carrying an unconscious Legion member, Chamelon Boy to safety. John Watson even added a tiny Shrinking Violet hanging on to Comet's tail for dear life. I hope this re-Legioned cover puts a smile on your face as it did for me...Enjoy

I love everything about this one. First the cover of Rex 35 is one of my all time favorite covers. Second, Krypto looks like he stepped out of the Silver Age. Third, great use of Comet. Fourth, the Logo! Finally, everything else. I like this cover better than its inspiration-never thought I would say that.

It took me a while to find the right artist but I am just starting a Super-Pets story-line called " Infinite Timelines : Beasts Of Burden " coming to CAF in 2016
