Description
I need money so I might sell it for the right price. I’m accepting offers.

My Holy Grail. The issue where Hank Pym sacrifices himself.
When Ultimatum 3 came out in Dec 2008 I emailed Ed McGuinness and begged him for the variant cover. He told me that the inker from England got to keep the cover and he doesn't sell his stuff. So I looked all over the internet looking for info on Mark Farmer and found nothing. So sadly I gave up. Last month one of my artist friends on Facebook mentioned to one of his friends about how he thought Mark's inks would look great over his pencils. So I sent him a message asking if he knew how I could contact Mark. I didn't actually expect him to personally know Mark. But he did. So I was able to get in contact with Mark and ask about the cover. He said "sure I have" and he'd sell it to me.
I also didn't expect to be able to afford a variant cover by Ed McGuinness. I almost fell out of my chair when he told me what he'd sell it to me for. I guess because it's Pym. It's nice to like a character that not a lot of others are interested in.

This has been my best OA buying experience so far. It was all luck and right place/right time.

This was the last issue of anything I read in the Ultimate Universe. They killed Hank so why read on.

Kimberly, That is Sooo Cool! I am so happy for you that you acquired your Grail! It is an awesome feeling, particularly when you worked for it and earned it. Savor the moment and art!

Congrats on getting your grail! That was too easy though, now you need a grail that will be harder to get!

Great piece. Can't get a much larger image of the character (Pym) pictured on a cover. Lots of power and energy. Congrats.

It is ALWAYS good when the Universe shifts ever so slightly and allows a Grail to COME HOME. All is well and all manner of things are well. Enjoy

Every time a comic art collector acquires a long sought grail, you hear a bell, and an angel gets his wings. Really happy for you, Kim... good hunting!

Congrats Kimberly! I was lucky enough to acquire my comic art GRAIL last year, so I know how special such an acquisition that can be! If you're looking to get it framed, I can't recommend Steve Wyatt (he has a CAF gallery) highly enough! He did a fabulous job on my Wrightson Hooky Cover! Happy Collecting!

Awesome! Hank doesn't get enough solo covers. Cool layouts too, I don't think I've ever seen a cover set up exactly like that before.

NO matter how many times I come to view your gallery, this piece jumps out at me. I can't take my eyes off of it. Out of all of the great pieces in your gallery, this is my favorite. Such a great concept.

Only McGuiness could jam pack that much image in a cover. I can see why it is your grail and why you reached out across the pond (the home of the original Holy Grail) to get it. Giant congratulations!
