Description
Well, I think this is the best inked page I own. Note Giordano's amazing thick to thin line weight variations (the boldness of the hair contours!), the sensitivity of the dry brush shadow in the last panel, and his complete anticipation and continuation of Toth's aesthetic intent. Look at Jack's face in Panel 3- better than even Toth would ink it, IMO. All hail Giordano! Toth ain't bad, either.

Very nice! Just about everything an artist needs to know about the craft of comic art is represented in that page

Hot Wheels is where I "discovered" Toth (hey, I had the toys and watched the cartoon and I would absolutely love to get a page from one of his stories during his run on this book), but what I really appreciate is your brief but clear explanation as to why Mr. Giordano's inks look so good on this page. I wish I had an "artist's eye" and were able to articulate such things. (I guess I'll just have to stick with, "I know what I like when I see it.")
