" My take on Joe's pencils were a bit of a challenge: it's not everyday you get the chance to ink a master, so I had to overcome (as best as I could) the stigma associated with such a daunting task. I tried to keep his tone and style intact, yet infuse it with the little nuances I am becoming known for in the realm of inking. I chose to alter the background to make Namor 'pop' a bit more, and give the feathering a more modern appeal.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience, and to know that it goes toward a worthy cause made the experience even better."
