CAPTAIN AMERICA 1970's LUNCHBOX ORIGINAL PROPOSAL ART - FRONT, BACK, AND SIDEBAND

So, most of us have at one point probably had a lunch box when they went to school. But I'm guessing no one had this one, as it's one-of-a-kind. This was the artwork for a proposed Captain America lunchbox to be made in the 1970's by Aladdin (who made many of the best-known lunchboxes for a very long time until they went out of business a few years back). Unfortunately, I don't think this Cap lunchbox was produced, which is a shame. What's particularly cool about this piece is that it is the only lunchbox proposal art I've seen that still has the art attached to a blank metal lunchbox as originally presented for production consideration as a completed mock up piece. The front and back pieces have been taped on, but are still in fairly nice shape. Lifting up the edges of the artwork shows there is nothing underneath on the box. So you can see it wasn't just put on top of another box; It was a professional presentation on a new unused unstickered box. The sideband art is separate and not attached to the box, and features multiple images of Cap as he busts through a window and does some mid-air acrobatics, with an image of the Red Skull at the top. The front of the box features an awesome straight-on image of the Star-Spangled Sentinel of Liberty holding his trademark shield with the red, white, and blue of the American flag in the background, and the back shows a classic action pose of him throwing the shield. This is a truly special piece of comic book and pop culture memorabilia. This is an amazing and unique piece of vintage Bronze Age Cap artwork, that would look fantastic framed and prominently displayed, and would be an outstanding addition to any collection.
