Description
This huge 28 x 21" page was drawn to see if editor Joe Kubert would be interested in a series of short stories based on Sam's experiences aboard the U.S.S. Stevens during WWII. Sam did not know if he could use his ship's actual name so he changed it to the U.S.S. Rake here. These panels were redrawn for the first Stevens story.
