Description
What can I say? Arthur Rackham is my favorite illustration artist, bar none. I grew up reading books illustrated by Rackham (reprints, obviously) because my parents were fans. Rackham's illustrations introduced me to fantasy literature and art, which in turn led me to comics. I have always loved Rackham's art, and have for many years wanted an original. When the opportunity came, I jumped, even though it cost me an arm and a leg (you will notice some key pieces in my collection gone). This piece was published in 1907 in "The Land of Enchantment," although it is signed and dated 1901. It is quite large for a Rackham (about 15" x 11"). The only way that this leaves my collection is if it is traded for another Rackham. I think I can say with some confidence that I will never be Rackhamless again . . .

Wow, you actually got this! Very impressive! It is great to see it close-up rather than at the top of a booth. It is a real beauty. Congrats, Ben!
