Hey now watch that horse. It sees you. Like with being aware, as a creature actually existing.

Like it's seeing straight into my soul. Having me feel almost relieved it don't just burst out laughing, although it could be about to be making that sorta revving sound, with the lips, that ''horse's snort'' thing.

This preliminary yet detailed study by artist and painter Petar Meseldzija, reminds me of how enchanting it is to be meeting with horses. This one being just so utterly majestic. Like it's actually locking eyes with its onlooker, but with having its own thoughts about the whole deal, like as if knowing itself untouchable, as if not really there, yet merely watching a movie. Plus with seeming to glide or float more rather than being to run or jump, as if appearing from out of mist, or amid the clouds in the sky, like it'd be the mount of Thor himself.

This piece was published in the Petar Meseldzija sketchbook "Bron van verbeelding/Source of imagination" (Xtra, 2010), as being a preliminary study for "The Legend of Steel Bashaw" (Flesk, 2010). It also seems similar somewhat to one of the unicorns in the book cover of "Unicorn Chronicles Book 3: Dark Whispers" (Scholastic, 2008), the one on the far right.
