Description
blue line and finished pencil artwork on paper nearly identical to the published page by "Buscema and Tuska"
Is this George Tuska's work? Not according to Tuska Man Dewey Cassell...
Blue lines disowned by John Romita when queried, no one has seen Buscema or Tuska blue line work so this is still a mystery.
And it IS a great inclusion in the 6th Avengers volume of Marvel Masterworks.
I want to thank Cory Sedlmeier for the priviledge of seeing this piece beautifully reproduced in color in such a great book filled with Avengers highpoints! Go get your copy before I buy them all!

Wouldn´t that be a great inclusion in the Marvel Masterworks series of the Avengers?

I think I have figured out what this piece amounts to. I recall showing it around, and I think Roy Thomas said it was nothing, just some nobodies tracing or something.

Didnt make sense to me, (look at it, why would someone trace roughs or use blue pencil to copy something?) but what do I know? Jack Squat.

Until I just reviewed some Don Heck prelims up for auction and noticed the considerable similarity.

It appears there was some Avengers X-Men story line across some of these issues, and Heck was involved with those on the X-Men side, as well as a couple of Avengers books amidst Buscema's staggering debut.

I feel pretty sure this is Heck, and I think it got copied from for the Buscema Avengers issue, not the other way around.
