Description

This is the Chapter 2 title page from the first issue of the 1970's Marvel b&w magazine "Planet of the Apes". Mike pencilled and inked the page and added wash tones for publication. After the artwork was returned to him, he decided to add some watercolors to the page to see what the artwork would look like; I think the results are terrific!

Ploog did a super job with the coloring here. That top panel is a mini-masterpiece. Thanks for sharing, Jim!
