Description

This one is a little different.

Proty provides an element of playfulness to both the Legion of Super-Heroes and the Super-Pets. He could shape shift like his owner Chameleon Boy. Later on in Legion history Proty is "emancipated " and seen as a sentinent being who has a great holo/photo business..and who no longer attended meetings of the Super-Pets

But at this stage in Legion history. Proty is fun. John Watson gave this Re-legion piece " Leave it to Brainy " to me seen in its original form ( attached image below ) as a birthday gift...but was I grateful for his kindness :NO...!!

I made the poor kind talented artistic man go back and turn that cover into a Proty piece..after all Krypto, Streaky and Beppo had their turn in the spotlight ( with Comet in the works )..…mixing Proty in with the delightfuly awkward history between Brainiac 5 and Supergirl is the icing on the cake..

John is talented and has done dozens of cool action pieces but this shows a lighter style and side of him. I think its a great piece and reminds us of the kid within and that comics are meant to be FUN !!!!

This entire commission is superb, but the highlight for me is the floating heads up in the logo area.
