DescriptionThe highlight of Heroes Con 2012 was Saturday evening at the auction. I have never attended an auction so the excitement level was already at a high level. When this cover went up I was nervous and excited. When Allison declared the winner she was looking at me and I could not have been happier.The published cover for this piece really hid the amazing artwork of the piece. I remember this cover and thought to myself that it looked like a great pose for the Hulk but really wondered how the untouched artwork looked. Now I have the answer and the original art is mine. Sorry for the poor picture. I will attempt to get a better scan. Additional images include: The published cover Picture with flash Happy collector with team EDEX The bidding paddle/paper that Ed and Dex put a congratulatory image and signatures the day after the auction. So awesome Dave! Crown jewel of your haul. I agree, the OA is a hundred times better than the published image.

The more I look at the printed cover, the more I realize how much of the original art was changed - I keep finding nuances in the piece that amaze me. What were ya thinking Marvel?

Dave, I was the guy sitting in front of you at the auction ogling your acquisition! I was eyeing this one in the auction but couldn't be happier that it went in your wonderful Hulk collection.
I just noticed Ed had a color print of this piece on his table at the con! I coincidentally took a picture of it when Ed was working on my jam:

Hey George, I wish I had known that was you. I would have loved to chat about our con hauls. Thanks so much for the compliment my friend - much appreciated. I forgot to pick up a print at the show. The weekend was great but a bit of a whirlwind for me. I will track one down for sure.
