Description

These two watercolors were painted as part of a Christmas present George Herriman made for some friends or relatives in 1940. The top watercolor of three standing girls and a heavily clothed, seated man is inscribed in bold pencil, "OLE XMAS ALLERGY DONE GOT ME GALS = CAN'T HELP IT - YOURS, MIT LUFF, UND DEWUTION - ~ UNCLE HERRIMAN. The watercolors are behind a matt which was cut and simply decorated by Herriman and in a frame which the artist painted to complement the artwork.
