Description

I bought this wonderful illo from Mike back in the 1990's. I believe he said it was done for a poster to save an endangered owl; if anyone knows more details, please send me the info so I can update this description.

Mike has a passion for drawing wildlife and this is a favorite of mine. My wife likes it a lot as well and it was framed up in our bedroom for years.

Great stuff, Jim. Sami's second grade teacher structured their entire science curriculum around owls, so they have always been big in our house.

Beautiful spotted owl illustration. Haven't seen Mike use the Alcala style hatchwork often (as seen in the upper tree bark). Comic art meets fine art!
