So. A few years ago, I had an idea of a sketch where Poison Ivy stod in front of the ivy-covered wall at Wrigley Field. This was done by Khary Randolph at Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo. Last year, Niall Eccles provided me a sketch with Blue Jay flying with two of Toronto's most recognizable landmarks -- CN Tower and Rogers Centre -- in the background. It's a theme of sorts: match characters with sports teams, both sharing the same name.

Time was winding down when I met Griffin Shawn. I presented him with two options: Raven in front of Baltimore Harbor, or Cal Ripken in Iron Man armor. He got a laugh out of the latter, so I paid him to do that. For those who don't follow baseball, Ripken played in 2,632 consecutive games, eclipsing Lou Gehrig's mark of 2,130. Hence the "Iron Man" nickname. Also, there's a minor league team that he owns in nearby Aberdeen called the Ironbirds. Once again: I get ideas, and they're hard to shake.
