Unpublished Silver Surfer page written by Stan Lee

Ha, got you. Technically true though. This is a page from the Tales of The Watcher story intended to be published in issue #8. The book was cut to normal sized with that issue and it instead showed up in Marvel Super-Heroes #23 a couple of months later. There apparently wasn't room there for the complete story as drawn since the story in MSH is six pages long and this is page seven. Since these backups were usually 10 pages long I assume there are three more unpublished pages around. This is a rehashing of an old Lee/Ditko story and except for a couple of instances (one being necessitated by the cut pages) the text is the same. The dialogue is written on the top and bottom. The line in the middle panel isn't as obvious in person. It exists because at some point Palmer decided to render part of that scene with crafttint board and that is glued onto the larger page. I love crafttint and this is the 3rd page I bought that used it and one of them has a piece pasted down onto a larger, normally rendered page as well. 10" X 15" image on 11 1/2" X 17 1/2" paper. Some chemical stains presumably from the crafttint stuff.
